Piglet

4″×4″, pastel, Baby Pig. I decided today to paint a farm amimal. I would have liked to live on a farm. One time I did for a very brief time. One day my roomates couldn’t find me and eventually found me asleep with the cows. I connect very deeply with animals. When I paint them, I truly enjoy looking and meditating upon them.

Baby House Sparrow

My first rehab patient, when I became a wildlife rehabilitator 30 years ago, was a baby pigeon then a baby house sparrow. I named him Juvenile. So please meet Juvenile! 6″×6″, acrylic on canvas. I know they are ‘bad’ for the ecological system because they are an introduced species but as an individual, they are spunky, adorable and have a ton of personality!

Red-tailed Hawk Feather

My second feather. I call this ‘Red-tailed Hawk Feather’. Trying to do something creative everyday, whether paintings or glass or mosaic or scratchboard or I might even try colored pencil. I have so much admiration for colored pencil artists like Allen Wollet. But more about that in a later post. Happy Sunday 😊
