Viola Behind Bars

‘Viola Behind Bars’, 8″×10″, acrylic. Calf waiting for slaughter. Being a vegetarian, mostly vegan, I feel very saddened by the plight of most farm animals. Meat is so sanitized in the market from where it truly comes from. My aim is to show you that it came from a beautiful being. Please don’t eat veal.

Open Acrylics

Sleepy Cow, 8″x10″, open acrylic. Open Acrylics are made by Golden. They are a slow drying acrylic made to blend and act like oil paint. This poses a problem for me…this is still wet and I want to put a light red wash all over to tone down greens and warm up cows but I have to wait till it dries. How long I have no idea!

Fuzzy Chick

8″×10″, acrylic, Fuzzy Chick. I heard some wise words today from artist Ron Stocker, “My advice to other artists is to fail frequently. This is so very important in painting. I’ve learned more from failure in every aspect of life than success.” Very true. So I humbly share my successes and failures with you.
